Σύντομο Βιογραφικό Σημείωμα: Ο Αργύρης I. Δελής είναι Καθηγητής Υπολογιστικών Μαθηματικών στη σχολή Μηχανικών Παραγωγής & Διοίκησης του Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης. Από το 2000 έως το 2004 εργάστηκε ως επισκέπτης καθηγητής στο τμήμα Εφαρμοσμένων Μαθηματικών του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης και το Γενικό Τμήμα του  Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης. Το 2004 ανέλαβε καθήκοντα Λέκτορα στο Γενικό Τμήμα του ΠΚ. Το 2008 εξελέγη Επίκουρος Καθηγητής, το 2013 Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής και το 2022 Καθηγητής στη σχολή ΜΠΔ του Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης. Το 2024 ανέλαβε Διευθυντής του Εργαστηρίου Εφαρμοσμένων Μαθηματικών και Υπολογιστών του Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης. Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζονται στην αριθμητική επίλυση διαφορικών εξισώσεων με μερικές παραγώγους με εφαρμογές στην υπολογιστική ρευστοδυναμική.

 

Εκπαίδευση: Πτυχίο Μαθηματικών Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης (1993), Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα Ειδίκευσης στην Αριθμητική Ανάλυση και τους Υπολογισμούς University of Manchester - UMIST (1994). Διδακτορικό Δίπλωμα  στα Εφαρμοσμένα και Υπολογιστικά Μαθηματικά από το University of the West of England (1998).
